1. How's the weather in Beijing? 北京的天气如何?
英语中,询问天气情况时,常用“How's the weather ...?”或 “What's the weather like...?”,两者可以相互替换。 用疑问词what时一定要加介词like。试体会:
今天的天气如何? How is the weather like today? What's the weather today? How is the weather today? What's the weather like today?
2. How is it going? 近来情况怎样?
① 该句是由疑问副词how引出的问候句型,意为“一切顺利吗?”“How's ...”句型在问候语中用来询问对方的情况。通常接在Hello或Hi之后。相似的表达式还有:How's everything (going)?/ How are you getting on?等。 ② 句中的主语是代词it, 用来指代问话人所问的“那件事件”,即可以指代问话人所关心的任何事件。 ③ 动词go在此处不表示“去,走”,而表示“进行,进展”,常用be going的结构。 ④ 答语根据情况可选用:Pretty good!(相当不错!)/Not bad!(不错!)/Just so-so!(马马虎虎!)等。

打电话的日常用语有: ① 打电话询问对方是否在时,常说:
Hello! Is ... in? 你好!……在家吗? May/Could I speak to ...? 请找……接电话,好吗? Is that/it ... speaking? 是……吗?
① 不能因中文思维而误用Are you...?或Who are you? 之类的用语。
② 如果接电话的正是对方要找的,则可说:
Yes, it is. 是的,我是。 Yes, speaking. 是的,我就是。 This is ... speaking. 我是……
③ 如果要找的人不在,接电话的人可以说:
Hold on. I'll go and get him/her. 别挂线。我去找他/她。 He/She isn't here right now/at the moment. 他/她现在不在。 Can you call back a little later? He/She will be back soon. 你过会儿再打来好吗?他/她马上就回来。
④ 如果没有要找的人,接电话的人可以说:
There is no ... here. 这儿没有叫……的。 You have got the wrong number. 你一定打错号了。

Thank you for后接名词或doing sth.表示“感谢你的/做的……”。

5. Some are taking photos. Others are lying on the beach. 一些人在拍照,另一些人躺在沙滩上。
some ... others ... 意为“一些……;另一些……”。注意:others指总数中的一部分而不是some除外的全部。
【例如】:
Some students are reading English,others are writing compositions. 一些学生在读英语,另一些学生在写作文。 (暗指还有别的学生在干其他的事件。)
6. I am surprised they can play in this heat. 我很惊奇他们在这么热的天气里玩。
surprised是形容词,意为“惊奇的,吃惊的”,由其构成的常见结构有: ① be surprised at ...
【例如】:
We're surprised at the news. 我们听到这消息很惊讶。
② be surprised to do sth.
【例如】:
I'm surprised to meet you here. 在这儿碰到你我很惊讶。
③ be surprised + 从句
【例如】:
I am surprised that fish can sleep with its eyes open. 令我惊讶的是鱼能睁着眼睛睡觉。
7. But everyone is having a good time. 每一个人过得都很愉快。
have a good time是固定搭配,其中冠词a不可以用其他的冠词替换,也不可以省略。其同义短语为enjoy oneself,都表示“过得愉快,玩得高兴”。
【例如】:
I usually have a good time on Sunday, because I'm always free that day. 星期天我通常过得挺愉快的,因为那天我往往有空。
8. That sounds terrible. 那听起来太糟糕!
sound意为“听起来”,是系动词,后必须接形容词做表语,构成系表结构。具有类似用法的动词还有look, taste等。
